Date: Tuesday June 3rd, 2521 Characters: Mainly Alexandria, Uriah, Kristine. Anyone else welcome, though. Location: The Lobby of Xentech's main office. Uriah let out a soft sigh as he killed the engine of his motorcycle. Slowly he moved his hands up to his helmet and removed it, holding it to his right side as he looked at the building before him. It had been a while since he had been at Xentech’s main office. He shook his head and let his hair fall free from the tangled mess it had formed while confined in his helmet, now comfortably resting near the middle of his back…tangle free, of course. He took almost too much care of his hair now that he had decided to let it grow out a bit. “Bet Alex is going to flip out whenever she sees this.” He chuckled as he moved off the bike, making sure to put down the stand so it wouldn’t fall over (like Alex had failed to do the first time she had been allowed to ride by herself) “Guess I better not keep her waiting any longer…” he tucked his helmet under his arm and proceeded to walk inside into the lobby and headed straight for the receptionist. “Hello, I was wondering if my old ID would let me use the elevators still or if I’d have to get a new one on account of my new look.” The receptionist just looked at him, blankly which resulted in a frown from him. “Can you just let miss Alexandria and possibly Kristine, if she’s not busy, know they have a visitor?” After that he’ll turn and sigh. Newbies, they have no respect, I swear.

Alexandria was busy in her office working on the finishing touches on a product that wasn’t slated to be released for another two and a half years whenever she heard the sound of a motorcycle’s engine die down. “Some people just don’t understand…how hard it is to work with these loud noises!” she said angrily, slamming her hands down on the keyboard in front of her causing a large amount of junk to be inserted into her code. “Crud…”
She had just finished fixing the source code whenever her intercom system rang, alerting her that the receptionist was trying to get ahold of her. She contemplated ignoring it due to the setback she had just had and that taking time to figure out what she wanted would only slow her down but ended up deciding against it. Not even waiting to hear what she had to say, she pressed the button and replied “I’ll be down in a minute.” Some time away from her screen might actually do her good…

Kris was walking down the hall and heading towards the exit when she paused in the lobby and glanced over.
"Uriah? Where have you been?" She asked, walking up to him. It wasn't accusatory, it was an honest puzzled tone. "And what did you do to your hair?" She paused. "No matter." She glanced to the receptionist. "Let him up, and get him a new ID issued if he needs it."
Sorry, short post. not a whole lot to work with.

Uriah hummed to himself as the receptionist busied herself with the task he had thrown at her. As he waited he turned back to watch some of the people who were walking in around in the lobby, occasionally acknowledging some as they passed him.
"Miss Alexandria will be down momentarily. Miss Kristine is currently out of her of--" the secretary was cut off before she had a chance to finish by Kristine herself. Letting out a surprised eep, she quickly nodded and started typing away at her computer. "Y-yes M-ma'am!" Uriah chuckled.
"Kristine, dear!" he said as he walked over to her. "You missed me, didn't you?" he grinned, setting his helmet down on a small table nearby him before offering his hand. I went off on a bit of a spiritual journey, if you will. I only told Alex, I guess she didn't tell you? Or maybe you just forgot about me. I am easy to forget about I suppose. But enough about me, how have you been?"

Alexandria yawned softly as the elevator door opened for her allowing her to step out into the lobby. It felt like years since she'd been down here when in reality it had been less than 30 minutes, if even. Time seemed to drag on whenever she dove into her programming.
Quickly making her way to the reception area of the lobby she saw Kristine already speaking with Uriah and giggled a little. No doubt those two would soon be at each others throats because someone said something, her money was on Uriah being the one to set off Kristine.
Deciding it best to just stand back for now, Alexandria stood beside the receptionist and peaked her head at her screen. "You know, a little personalization is a good thing."

Used to such rapid obedience, Kris remained impassive as the receptionist busied herself with her instructions.
"Not necessarily. Jake has been keeping Alex and I more than company. May I ask where you had gotten off to?" She took his hand and shook it professionally, though when she spoke, there was a slight acid. "Poor Jake had his hands full, keeping tabs on both Alex and I. I hope this spirital journey of yours was helpful."
Yes. She wasn't happy on you ducking out and leaving Jake to juggle two women's protection.
"I have been more than fine." She answered. "I have proceeded in my research as normal, and Jake has been quite an aid."
When Alex came down, Kris smiled at her, which caused a few employees to stop and stare. She rarely ever truly smiled. Not like when she was around Alex. "Alex!~ Look, Uriah has come back!" Mock enthusiasm for Alex's sake is go!

Uriah grinned as they shook hands. "I'm sure Alex kept you the two of you in line. Isn't that right, Alex? He said, looking over to her and smiling before turning his attention back to Kristine.
"No need to be like that. After that tournament mishap you and I both know that our top priority should be making sure we'd be ready for another attack like that. Leon also thought the same and so the two of us decided that, despite our mutual hate for each other, training with each other would be beneficial to both parties...though I did make sure to get in a few shoots on your behalf since you weren't there to do it yourself.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your research has continued unhindered by my absence and am even more glad by Jake's continued ability of being 'useful' to you." Uriah put air quotes around the world useful as he said it, but managed to fight back the grin that he so wanted to show. He had slightly missed messing with Kristine. He didn't feel so bad about it though after Kristine had her bit of Mock-enthusiasm bit about him which resulted in a soft grunt and him crossing his arms.

Alex remained quite until she was brought into the conversation. She did smile in response to Kristine's but it didn't cause nearly as big of a reaction as Kristine's smile had caused, maybe because Alexandria was still young and people expected her to smile more, even with her stuffed into this, sometimes harsh, business environment. "Yes, I can see that he has returned." she nods, walking up to the two of them, her hands making their way into her pockets as she walks.
"Welcome home, Uriah. I assume you got what you were hoping for out of your little vacation? It's been rather...dull without while you were gone. Kristine had no one to swap verbal jabs at with your absence." She smiled up at him and softly hugged him before moving away again and adding; "By the way, I'm not a fan of your current hair configuration. Please change it." she giggled softly as she expected that Kristine had already said something about his hair prior.

When Uriah mentioned he trained with Leon of all people, she stopped listening. "Wait, you actually TRAINED with that man?!" She snapped. "That is the STUPIDEST idea I've ever heard! He knows how you fight in a more detailed sense now! He knows where you're weak and where you're strong! What if he comes after Alex?! How do you expect to best him when he knows how to get around you?!" Whoops. Kris's hate of Leon plus her concern for Alex kind of makes things a little rough.
Kris's little outburst caused everyone in the room to stop and stare again, and this time she shot a glare and the lot of them took off running.
"My office. NOW." Here was not the place. And his shot at how she supposedly used Jake was just adding fuel to the fire. However Alex's crack at Uriah's hair elicited a smirk from the irritated female as she walked towards the elevator. She'd glance back for the other two to follow her.

((I just decided to combine both Alex's and Uriah's posts into this single post this time due to the fact I'll be able to get more for you to reply to if I can have things happen orderly))
--Uriah--
Uriah frowned. Perhaps he had pushed a few to many buttons. "Whatever you say, ma'am." he shrugged as he walked towards the elevator, waiting until they were all inside and the door had closed to even begin working a defense in his case.
--Alexandria--
Alex remained silent as the two taller figures made their way to the elevator, sighing softly and starting after them as the other inside her head offered her two-cents to the happenings; //It might not have been in Uriah's best interest to have mentioned that not even ten minutes into having been back.//
You're telling me...
--Uriah--
"Obviously you're upset; however, I think you clearly overreacted. But, if you insists on looking at like that: I now know just as much more about Leon as he knows about me. Let my knowledge about Leon be represented by the integer value 50 and Leon's knowledge about me be represented by the integer value 5. We both spent equal time training with each other as it was just as two there; therefore we both grew to understand the other at a similar rate, note that this is giving Leon the benefit of the doubt as he is only but a human. The integer value 8 will represent the amount of knowledge we've both gained on the other putting me at 58 and him at 13. We're still 25 apart so nothing worth noting changed."
--Alexandria--
//Do you think she'll let it go at that?//
Doubt it. Alexandria sighed as she looked up at Kristine. "You do realize that even though my father took everything from Leon, he holds no hostile thoughts to me, correct? If he honestly wished me harm he would have done so prior to the reactivation of Uriah while we were both defenseless. Just then the door to the elevator opened and Alexandria stepped out before her other two companions. "I need to make sure that I locked my office, since we're here. If you two insist on arguing over this like children I'd rather not be a part of it. So, if you'll excuse me..." With that Alex walked off leaving both Uriah and Kristine alone.
--Uriah--
"Wait, Alex..." he'll exhale deeply before turning to Kristine and putting on his best fake smile. "After you then, miss. For Alex's sake I will be open to you about everything so we can get this behind us."

At this point, Kristine was so furious she didn't know what to say, and simply clutched her sleeves tightly as she was spoken too. She gave Alex a glance when she left, but didn't try to stop her. She'll talk to her later.
Once she and Uriah was alone, she'd turn to him and simply glare.
"If nothing else. Tell me this. Why should I trust you when you take off with no word for an undisclosed amount of time when it is your JOB to protect Alex. The whole reason I brought you back from the dead is to protect her!" Kris snapped. It was clear that she was the most furious that her daughter's supposed protector just bailed out.
"What if something happened that even Jake couldn't handle on his own? What if we NEEDED you here?! Would you be able to live with the guilt of Alex DYING because you decided to take a personal vacation?" Her glare didn't lessen. "Damnit Uriah I TRUST YOU TO LOOK AFTER HER. And you go and pull THIS BULLSHIT. If it wasn't for the fact that Jake can't protect both me and Alex, I'd can you right now and tell you to go back to your little fuckbuddy Leon, but I know he can't. The whole reason I hired Jake was so you could focus on Alex. But it looks like you can't even do THAT right. I don't give a shit if you were 'training to get stronger'. YOU STILL WEREN'T FUCKING HERE."

Uriah sighed. Obviously the method he had decided to go about wasn't the best, but it was only because he knew that she wouldn't have approved anyway and would have only gotten in the way. He stayed quite for a while, looking at the angry woman before him.
"Because you wouldn't have let me leave." He finally spoke up. "Alex and I both agreed on that. If you didn't have such a vendetta again Leon for such a stupid reason maybe I would have been able to tell you, but no, I couldn't. Hell, every time I bring up his stupid name you instantly change into something different. I swear there are times that you're even worse than Alexis!" He sighed after the last sentence before speaking again, in a softer tone.
"Alexandria and I both felt that this was as best a time as any for training and improvement but for the very reasons you were worried about I could not extend the invitation to Jake because then there would have been no one here at all. You of all people should know how high of a priority that Alexandria is to me; the nano-second I knew of her being in trouble I would have been back here to protect her."
He paused, pondering where to proceed next. "Whatever your opinions are towards Leon, for the best of all of us I seriously advise you let them rest now before they end up hurting someone. The past is in the past, Kristine; there isn't anything we can do about that. Leon did a good deed for the world by taking care of Xe. If anything we should be thanking him for doing what we were unable to do for various reasons. Please, Kristine, just let it go, for Alex's sake."

Sorry Uriah, but anything that put Alex in danger upset her greatly.
Realizing yelling at Uriah wasn't doing it, Kris's tone dropped to a dangerous volume of quiet. "That is a load of fucking bullshit. I wouldn't have condoned your training with Leon, but if you just needed to leave for personal business, I would have understood. It would have given me a chance to make arrangements. But you just left without a WORD." Kris's eyebrow twitched at Uriah's comment about her behavior over Leon, but didn't comment.
She sighed in an irritated manner and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "I agree, now is the best time. But the fact that you act like I'm some kind of roadblock- You KNOW I'd all for ensuring Alexis's safety, and I understand that you couldn't invite Jake. But you're dodging the main issue here. You left with no warning." She paused. "The Nano-second? And how exactly were you supposed to KNOW?! You didn't even leave a frequency to call in case we needed you. No hint at your location NOTHING. And don't tell me you had a communicator with Alexis, because that is irresponsible and stupid. If she's caught off guard, how is she supposed to contact you, hm? Hard to do that when you're hogtied or unconscious, you know?"
Then Uriah spoke those words, telling her to forgive Leon for what he did. Let go of the bitterness that really was the only thing that kept her going. "You mother fucker. They day I let go of what Leon did is the day I die. That man took away the one think that ever meant anything to me. Did you ever stop to think that maybe while everyone else was rejoicing over how they defeated the big bad weapons dealer there was someone who had to be told that the MAN SHE FUCKING LOVED WAS DEAD. Had to raise his daughter for him, knowing that the only person she ever loved was gone forever, and slated a monster." Kris was livid, and it was clear she was distraught, thought to her credit she wasn't crying. "Why don't you have the first man you ever fell in love with killed and then have everyone you know act like his killer is some kind of fucking hero. I DON'T CARE WHAT THE TRUTH IS. XE IS FUCKING DEAD AND IT'S LEON'S FAULT, AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM."

Unfortunately for everyone in the nearby commons, Jake was around. Which usually meant they had to stay the hell away from him. He wasn't completely aware of Uriah leaving on personal accounts, but he knew that he had to keep an eye on both Alex and Kristine for his sake, especially since he fought Leon.
Though right now he couldn't care less. As long as he got the job done, and that both ladies were safe, he was fine, and once uriah returned his workload would be less. Seemed legit.
Glancing over to Alexandira as she left down the hallway (and nodding to her), interrupting his moment of scouring the place and glaring at people, Jake decided that, instead of being a good guy, he would beeline to the door and press his back against it. So what were they discussing...
"Hell, every time I bring up his stupid name you instantly change into something different. I swear there are times that you're even worse than Alexis!" Must be about Xe, Jake mused. However the conversation seemed to get quite heated and Jake knew that something had to happen. Neither of them were being rational.
Uriah did leave unannounced and he should have given a warning, but Kristine was making a huge deal out of it, and it seemed to Jake that she wasn't letting go of the past. What gives?
"If anything we should be thanking him for doing what we were unable to do for various reasons. Please, Kristine, just let it go, for Alex's sake." Jake narrowed his eyes. Wait, Leon? Oh yeah,Leon killed Xe, but what was this about?
So it was then Jake learned two things... "Why don't you have the first man you ever fell in love with killed and then have everyone you know act like his killer is some kind of fucking hero. I DON'T CARE WHAT THE TRUTH IS. XE IF FUCKING DEAD AND IT'S LEON'S FAULT, AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM."
The man narrowed his eyes.
He knocked on the door, almost nearly taking it's hinges off.

Uriah crossed his arms and kept his voice the same tone it had been since his accusation of Kris being no better than Alexis. "Obviously I didn't leave without a word to someone or else Alex would have been worried. Okay, I suppose you got me. If, by some divine miracle, someone managed to kill the power to the whole building and then get Alexandria into an area with no satellite service then, and only then, would Alexandria have been on her own. And even then, any unscheduled drop would have been more then enough for me to have teleported to her most recent location. Would it have been at that exact nano-second? No. But Alex felt confident in my abilities to give me the green light.
He uncrossed his arms and turned to look out her window. Of course she reacted the way she did at the mention of Leon killing Xe. Of course deep down inside Uriah knew that he himself wouldn't be able to fully forgive Leon either, but he was at least trying. Kristine, on the other hand, didn't seem to be giving any effort, though Uriah couldn't blame her for that. Maybe he was being a bit...unfair.
"I won't pretend to understand how you feel about Xe's death. In truth, the emotions you feel for him will forever be out of my reach, as according to my original programming design. For me to say that I've forgotten what Leon has put me through would be a complete lie, we both know that; however, I've shelfed my feelings for him by Alexandria's request. I know I can't make you do the same and I sure won't try and force you either; not because of Jake, but because I can't bring myself to hate you for hating Leon still. I suppose I envy you a tad sense. He'll shrug his shoulders as he turns to face Kristine right as the door is knocked on. "Don't let me keep you from that. Judging by the force of the knock I'd guess its that Jake friend of yours. That or someone else with inhuman strength." He'll chuckle softly as he looks towards the door.
