((OOC: June 7, early afternoon. Since she's got no more active threads, here goes.))
Blossom had slipped down to one of the little rooms underground that they had excavated and fixed up to get a good look at the cool stuff they had found. She stared at the old type Mechaniloids, and the stuff similar to it that were there.
How weird, they looked so... shiny! And some of them looked silly! She would've poked one, but there was glass.
She nibbled a bit on a piece of bread she had baked earlier, hand reaching up to grab a comic book, which she glanced at the back of. It was apparently about a pair of talking wristwatches. She tilted her head at it, and then opened up to read it.

Nomine meanwhile was looking around these odd underground rooms. He heard these were all buried underground. Why were they burried underground? Is it even safe to be down here?
Well hey Blossom is here. So maybe it's okay. He slowly walked up behind her and leaned forward to see what she was looking at. "...Wristwatches?"
What is this thing called comic books.

Blossom peeked up from her little comic book as she heard footsteps behind her. Daddy, Nomi, Ashe, someone else, or a Maverick? Okay, the last one was rather unlikely, given where she was, but she rolled over so she was lying on her back, and beamed up at Nomine when he glanced at her comic book.
"Hi Nomi! I'm reading!"
She pointed to the comic book, and nodded. "Uh huh! They're a pair of wristwatches that can change time!"

So now an Upside down Blossom looking up at him. He sat down and crossed his legs to get into a more comfortable position to look at the comic book.
"...Change...Time?" he asked. "How do...talking wristwatches do that?"
He was clearly confused by this story.

Indeed, little Blossom was upside down and looking up at Nomine as the other sat down near her. She pushed the comic book towards him, and sat up finally so that she was no longer upside down. Come on, Nomine, it wasn't that hard of a concept! At least it wasn't to her! That meant it wasn't complicated... right? Or maybe Nomine was just being silly.
"They have little clock halves! When they put them together, they can stop time and do all sorts of things!"
Hey, it was a cool story to her, and it would be even cooler if these people had existed had some point. But that was just a fancy pipe dream.

Nomine flipped over to the start of the comic when Blossom handed it to him. He blinked at her when she said that they put two clock halves together to manipulate time.
"...So if we put two clock halves together, we'll be able to manipulate time as well?" he asked.
Silly Nomine, the whole concept is all fiction. But he seriously was curious if that really worked.

Blossom allowed him to take the comic from where she had placed it and look over it. He would see that it was a fun comic to read! She giggled a bit when he asked if they placed two clock halves together they could manipulate time as well.
"No, silly! It's a made-up story! Kinda like... um..."
What would be a good comparison for Nomine to understand the concept? Hmmm. Ah! She got it!
"Kinda like how you get super special awesome hero powers but not everyone else can!"

Okay, Nomine at least had a good idea of what Fiction is compared to real life or Nonfiction. He just sorta blinked at Blossom when she made that comparison of Fiction to Nonfiction with his Biometal.
"But...My power's real," he said to her, blinking. "And not something fictional."
Sure. Your power is non-fictional.
He just looked at the comic book and began reading the first chapter of it. Let's see how good this thing is.

Okay. Nomine didn't seem to understand it. Sadly, Blossom wasn't a wordsmith or that good with words, so she really wasn't sure how to explain it. She shifted her position a little bit and stared back up at him as he took the comic book.
"It's real to you, and it's real to me, but it's not real to someone who hasn't seen it or heard about it." That was probably the most philosophical the little girl would get without directly breaking the fourth wall, not that she knew it.
It was an adventure comic, with that particular issue being about how they used their power to cause unsuspecting things to happen to their enemies.

Nomine had to pause and take a few seconds to let that statement sink in. After those few seconds, it sorta began to click into place in his head, and he simply replied to her, "Okay."
He then continued to sit there reading the comic silently, taking in what he could.
"..." He pointed to one panel, showing one of the unsuspecting things to happen to an enemy. Namely a falling piano. "Doesn't this normally happen in a few of those older cartoon's?"

Blossom beamed, glad that he had understood her. She didn't know how awkward and complex and philosophical her sentence had sounded; it made sense to the little seven-year-old right then and there. So as Nomine read the comic, Blossom moved closer to him until she was half sitting on his lap.
"Huh?" She was a bit too young to have seen too many older cartoons, but she did recognize the gag. "I think so. You're not the first to say that."

So he wasn't imagining things. That's good to know. He sat there with the little girl in his lap as he continued reading through the comic. It seemed like he was taking longer than a normal person his age would take to read the comic. He was looking and examining every detail he could of the comic, every single panel along with the different textures and values used. Soon as he was done he set the comic on Blossom's lap and leaned back to lie down on the cold floor.
"Done," he said calmly. He stared up at the ceiling now with the same look he had when reading the comic.

Blossom watched him as he continued to read the comic. Okay, at least he was reading it... even if she couldn't tell what he was thinking. Silly Nomine needed another expression on his face. When he lay down after finishing the comic, she frowned at him.
"You're silly. Smile a little!"
She hopped on his lap and leaned forward, trying to force his lips into a smiling position.

If it weren't for the fact his mouth was forced into a smiling position, Nomine would have the look of utter confusion on his face. Which instead gives this very awkward looking smile on his face.
"What are you doing?" It was kinda hard to ask that with a pair of fingers in the corners of his mouth.
FZ floated out and hovered near Blossom. "She's trying to make you smile."

Blossom held her fingers in the position that would keep Nomine's mouth at a smile. Aw, that smile looked so silly, but he was smiling! Even if she had to force it, that was a good thing! She giggled a bit at him.
"Making you smile, silly! You need to smile, or your mouth will get stuck in a frowny face, and you don't want that, do you?"
Unaware that FZ had said the same thing, she still was sure that the Biometal was less silly than Nomine here was.
