Location: Residential District
February 5th, Wednesday.
Over the rooftops of the city, one figure stands alone. Clad in red armor and overcoat, a yellow scarf rests on him almost like a cape. Why is he there? Why is he overlooking the city?
He silently stands there, just waiting for trouble to come his way tonight. Does he have a death wish? Or is it simply his own choosing to be here acting the part of a vigilante hero?
What is he doing here? That's a mystery. Is he good? Is he evil? Only one way to find out.

There weren't any news still, but Aeolus was getting used to it. The problem was finding something to do. The others, what could they have been doing lately?
...Knowing them, they're busy being idiots. That's what Aeolus thought as he flew over the city, using the darkness of the night as a cover. He hated having to 'blend in' with those ignorant masses; why did he have to do so? He was a Chosen One. He was superior!
But at least those fools couldn't reach the sky. The greatest heights was his domain; it was where he belonged.
What was he looking for though? Having only a handful of rumors wasn't enough to go on, unfortunately. Would tonight be another uneventful one? Aeolus have had too much of the mundane to care anymore.

The figure looked down on the city. This was currently his new domain. The masses he was now to keep a watchful gaze over were moving in a flurry below.
Granted when he looked up there was an odd pink light in the sky. A very odd pink light. A moving one.
A voice called to him in his head. The voice claimed another biometal was coming near them. The figure looked towards the pink lights. He looked in the direction the voice told him to look. The pink lighted figure he assumed was the source of it. As the figure got closer, he began to see the form of the figure changing to that of a person. The pink lights were just the energy being expelled from what could've been either thrusters or wings. Definitely were looking to be in the shape of wings.
The red figure stood still as he watched the other figure. On one arm, he already was holding a shield. He wouldn't move yet. He'd take a wait and see approach on this figure.

It was the makings of yet another uneventful night. Aeolus thought in disgust as he continued with his flight. How many times had he'd flown over this stupid city already? Numerous times? Many times? Too high a number to bother counting?
//...If so, why are you still here?// a voice spoke in the back of his head, after having read his thoughts. Aeolus's cold red eyes made to dart to the side, as if he'd just seen someone, before he made an annoyed snort and returned his attention in front of him. "Why would you care to know?" //Your thoughts are getting repetitive.// A frown appeared on Aeolus's face. That Biometal of his... "So what if it is? You're no different." There was silence, indicating that Model H wasn't in the mood for an argument. "Hmph. What was that about?"
However, as Aeolus continued on, Model H suddenly said, //Hey.// The sharp tone his Biometal had used surprised Aeolus a bit, causing him to stop in mid-air. That usually meant something...important and shouldn't be ignored. "What is it?" //I sense something...strange. It's 25 degrees to your right. If you're interested, that is.// "That's very helpful." //...I don't have enough to go on! I can sense Biometal, but it's not the others.// "...Don't tell me the rumors are true...!" //How should I know? If you wish to find out, go investigate it then.//
Aeolus hissed under his breath. So this night wouldn't be so uneventful as he'd thought. Still, a Biometal...A new one? It looks like this could shed some light about those rumors.
He turned to the direction of Model H had pointed out to him and headed there. Sure enough, there was a figure on one of the rooftops. Strange for someone to be there, he thought as he approached the building cautiously.
Model H was right; this Biometal user wasn't any of what they'd seen before. Aeolus stayed hovering in mid-air, high above and away from the stranger.

The figure stood on the edge of the roof, gazing back up to Aeolus with his face hidden behind his helmet. What was he thinking as he looked up at the green mega man flying in the air? Impossible to tell from his facial expressions. . . as no one could really see any of his facial expressions behind his mask. His right arm still held onto his shield tightly. His left arm hung at his side. The large yellow. . . was that a cape or a scarf? Hard to tell just from its size alone and how it rested on him.
A long uneasy silence filled the air.

...What a strangely-designed Megaman, Aeolus thought as he studied the stranger on the rooftop, looking down at him from this height. He couldn't see the face, which was covered with a masked helmet, not like Model P's. That makes it hard to see what this person's thinking.
Aeolus's eyes took notice of the shield in the stranger's arm. Just a shield? No other weapons? But he couldn't be sure yet. ...What do you think? he asked Model H in his mind. //He's not someone I recognize, unfortunately.// came Model H's reply. Tch!
What is this one capable of? Surely there's more to this stranger than that shield.

And while Aeolus keeps talking with the voices in his head he's crazy I tell ya the figure continued to stare up at him. The poor fool just has no idea who he's dealing with does he?
Then again the same could be said for the reverse situation.
So now he continued to stare up at Aeolus, taking notice of every movement the boy was making. Not a very pleasant looking face the kid had. Probably one of the ugliest kids he's ever seen try and attempt a scowl.
. . . and he's seen kids with some pretty messed up looking faces.

And so are you!
The stranger isn't making a move, but that doesn't mean Aeolus has to. That other Megaman just stared at him; how insolent! If the fool only knew what he's staring at...
So, it all boils down to a staring contest...and that was fine with Aeolus. He's got all the time in the world.

The figure did not move at all. He continued staring at the Wind Mega Man. He hadn't moved from his spot at all. This was going to be a long night wasn't it? He didn't mind. Let's test this Mega Man's patience shall we?

No movement still. What is this stranger up to? Aeolus tilted his head a bit, cold red eyes still fixed onto the other Megaman, studying him as much as he could. But with the other not really moving, that's kind of difficult. //Now this is interesting; a staring contest.// Model H mused. If he could, he'd have a smirk on his face. Oh, be quiet. I'm going to win this one! //Confident, aren't we?// came Model H's reply. Aeolus could've sworn he'd felt a shrugging motion somewhere. //Good luck then.//

He noticed the other had given a head tilt. That's good. He was winning against the boy. He continued to stand perfectly still. Staring back at Aeolus the whole time.
. . . This is going to be a long night wasn't it?
Granted with the visor covering his eyes. . . much easier to win a staring contest if your opponent can't see you blinking.

Still no movement. Something doesn't sit right in this little game. Aeolus couldn't put his finger on it, but something was definitely wrong. He could feel it, or rather Model H could. //...I don't know why you're wasting time with this one.// he said. What do you mean by that? //Don't tell me you didn't notice...// Model H sighed, figuratively rolling his eyes. //He's wearing a mask that hides his face!//
...Awkward silence.
Aeolus stared. Why that...!
It was too late now. He'd have no choice but to see this through!

Not too far away on an adjacent building one would find what seems to be a (well, a disguised) 'reploid' figure. Her curly red hair was still tied up in a neat bun as she pulled out an old fashioned CD player (where she got it or how the ZX era has one we'll never know, but it works), and she started playing various classical music.
Yep, this was Sugarplum's favorite spot, because it was at a point where it was dark enough to where she could see the stars, and the moonlight shone enough on this particular day to where she could see where she was going.
A pirouette and up she went on her modified pointe shoes, kicking her leg up in the air, pulling her body up to keep her head and toes all aligned to keep balance, and she ended on fifth position with a pliƩ.
Sugarplum had yet to notice that there were two figures in an intense but one sided staring contest next building over. She was too into her practice routines.

Yup, this guy was totally winning the staring contest of the century. If he noticed the girl on said adjacent building, he gave no indication of such. His body just remained standing still as his visor kept gazing at Aeolus.
This was all totally a test. A test that Aeolus was going to lose.
. . . Because he's the m-*censored* f-*censored* Proto Man!

That cheating jerk...! The urge to yell at the offending Megaman to take his helmet off was strong, but that would mean that he couldn't keep up with a dirty trick. Aeolus gritted his teeth. He was going to lose...
Then a faint familiar-sounding tune played into the night sky, which caused Aeolus to turn and look.
Whoops.
There was someone dancing on another rooftop. First a cheating masked man, now a dancer, both on rooftops. What's this night coming to?
