Blossom was a young girl on a mission.
Or rather, on a mission to satisfy her curiosity. She had never left the Hunter's Guild, and was therefore curious about the life that was outside of it. Because of that, with her father not around, Blossom had found herself at the train station, staring at the giant machine.
She wasn't standing too close to it, of course. No one in their right mind would have let the six-year-old right by the train. But she wanted to take a look at it. And she was a fascinated young girl, that was for sure.

Oh, but there was another man at the train station. of course he himself was sipping a nice hot cup of Chardonnay hot nonalcoholic drink on this cold afternoon and he found himself patrolling around the trains. Of course his eyes couldn't help but spot that young Blossom child wandering around.
her father must not be around if she's everywhere. Goodness forbid that Blossom sneaks onto the trains. After all the Guardians use it and she might get lost again. He took a deep breath and then walked over to the young child, looking down at her.
"Excuse me, young one, but why are you here?" His voice was still terse for a man addressing a child but Pierre wasn't used to it.

Well Pierre, Blossom wasn't aware of there being another person around. She was much too focused on the big trains, which took people outside of Hunter's Guild and to the city of Innerpeace. She had never been to Innerpeace and wanted to go. Maybe Daddy would take her one day if she was really nice.
Granted, it probably wasn't going to be today. Blossom was staring intently at the train when she heard the terse voice and she perked up; oh, only one person had that voice, it was Pierre, the silly person that rarely smiled! She turned around and actually smiled. Pierre was acting like his usual self.
"Hi! I'm looking at the trains!"

Pierre just stared awkwardly at the overtly happy little girl that was wandering alone in the train yards. Even if it was after the whole incident with Albert, it was still dangerous out there with criminals and Mavericks so he decided he might as well take up the task of... ugh, watching the child.
"You know it's still dangerous, young child." He spoke up before leading the kid away from the train. "Where is your father?" Great, if Warren was gone this meant that he had to take care of the kid the whole day...

Blossom beamed back at Pierre, blissfully ignorant of just how awkward that man was feeling and that he figured he might as well watch her. It wasn't as if she was wandering outside of Hunters Camp, right? So she saw no need to be overtly careful. Besides, she didn't really have her own keycard to the areas that led away from the camp.
Nope, she had to be accompanying someone else in order to do that. Someone like... Pierre! Thankfully for Pierre, she didn't get that idea just yet.
"I know, but I'm safe in here, right?" The little girl put her hands behind her back, and tilted her head as Pierre asked about her father. "Daddy went outside. I think he went to look for booty!"

Why did people have kids anyway? It still didn't make sense to him but at least Blossom was... somewhat... obedient. Of course he knew her mother died but he wouldn't mention how much he loved her it at all. Hopefully she wouldn't make him find their favorite flower either. That would be hell.
"Even around here you could still get lost.' He spoke up, before looking around at the trains. She could have accidentally boarded it anyway! How could Pierre even explain to her father what had happened anyway... Speaking of which looks like there was a perfect explanation to why Warren was gone.
"Oh. I see." So he was stuck patrolling and everyone else went to hunt for booty? Ugh, annoying.

Pierre, Pierre, Pierre. People had kids because they were bewitched by their cuteness. It was a natural secret weapon of children to charm adults with their cute. Otherwise, what adult would want to put up with taking care of a fussy child and not really getting anything back from them? Very few.
Unaware of the fact that Pierre loved her mom that he was hoping she didn't make him go flower-hunting, Blossom just tilted her head as Pierre mentioned that she could get lost. Lost? Here? She wouldn't have gotten on the train at all! Well... maybe she would have for a second... or a minute... or an hours...
"Awww, okay." She sighed a little. "I wanted to go hunt for booty too with Daddy! But everyone says I'm too small... that I have to go play with Chris and the others." She made a bit of a face as she thought of the boy. Ew, boys!

Pierre never could understand why kids were cute or anything. He'd at least put up with the little girl as she is wide eyed and cute and... ergh it felt weird to him. He took the girls' hand, since he heard that it was at least a sign of comfort or something and he then walked the kid away from the train station and closer to camp where she's safer.
"Yes. Well, you are very small. Once you're older you can go hunting with the Guardians." He spoke up. No he wasn't going to smile. he was manly. He wasn't supposed to smile.
"Well, boys are boys. They probably think you're just as..." He mocked her face. Which probably looked very silly.

Natural, biological, reaction. Pierre probably didn't realize that Blossom was using a natural weapon that she wasn't even aware existed. She sighed a little as Pierre took her hand, but allowed it and skipped along with him as she was led away from the train station by the very tall Hunter.
"I'm not that small. See?" As if to emphasize her point, Blossom stood on her tiptoes.
"...But that's silly! They're the gross ones!" Of course that face looked extremely silly, and Blossom couldn't help but giggle at it. Pierre, you were such a silly man!

Pierre definitely did not look very manly as he held the hand of a girl who was skipping around him like she had no care in the world. He bit his lip trying not to melt under the will of this girl. Of course he wasn't aware of the secret weapon she and other kids had so he was just confused at his reaction to the girl.
"... You're only half my height, little one." He meekly patted the little girl's head before she went on again. Oh right, the silly face he made. He was pretty embarrassed making that face and he looked around to make sure nobody was looking before focusing on the girl again.
"They think you have cooties." Blunt is blunt.

This was Blossom. She was perfectly happy to be with just about anyone if her Daddy wasn't around, because that meant that she had company that could play with her! Luckily for Pierre, she didn't want him to go flower hunting yet. Of course if he did, the only thing she could really reward him with are a few of Daddy's E-Crystals and a chocolate chip cookie.
"But you're just really tall!" She pouted as Pierre patted her on the head. "What? They have the cooties!"

Pierre frowned, wrinkling his already frowny face enough as the kid spoke up and he just quietly patted the kid on the head. Seriously? Kid Logic was strange to him. He looked around before taking a deep breath. Maybe taking the kid over to Warren's place of stay might be the best thing for him to do.
"Come on. Let's take you to where you're staying." He sighed before taking the kid's hand and walking further into Hunter's Camp and finding out where Warren's place is.
Crazy kids.

Kid logic. It made perfect sense to Blossom, so she wasn't too amused when Pierre didn't say anything. But maybe Pierre not saying anything was a good thing! It could mean that he understood what she was saying and had no way to argue against her point! That was very good. So she accepted the pat on the head, and sighed.
"Okay, okay, but Daddy's not home."
She paused for a few minutes, eyeing a stray flower, and then looked up at Pierre.
"Plus it's boring inside all the time."

Pierre sighed, wondering what it would take for that girl to quiet down and such. It was getting to be a bit much considering she's a child and he had absolutely no child experience whatsoever. Man, why couldn't he have just sat back instead of approached the kid?
"I know." He murmured, not saying much outside of that. He then took a deep breath before speaking up again. Was he like this as a child? He had no idea. "Well, it's sometimes boring here anyway."

Nope, she wasn't really going to quiet down anytime soon. Blossom wasn't a Quinter; she was the sort that liked to make her voice heard by everyone though not in an obnoxious manner that some children did. It was because you secretly loved Blossom's mother, Pierre. Don't deny it.
"...Hm." Likely. Who knew when it came to silly Pierres? Blossom nodded in agreement as Pierre said it was boring here sometimes as well. It definitely was boring here! Everyone was hunting for booty and she had to stay behind with the boys like Chris! At least Pierre was interesting.
"Uh huh. It's boring here sometimes."
