April 21st, 2521. Xentech again.
Ic: Ugh, that day. Of course Jake wasn't looking forward to this day. It meant he'd have to show his skin to random people he didn't know and maybe Kris. He was sitting int he chair, looking pretty grumpy, despite the past few days being nice for him, since he was finally growing some and moving on with his life instead of relishing in his own self pity.
Jake covered his eyes with his hat, looking down and pretending that his work was right there, maybe they'd pretend he didn't exist or something.
Bleh.

Kris stepped into the lab with two others, one was a much older woman in her 60s or 70s and the other was a male in his late 30s, both dressed in the manner of doctors, the latter of the two pushing a sterilized metal cart likely filled with the tools they would be needing. Despite her age, the women seemed bright eyed and alert, walking with the cool self confidence of a tenured practitioner of medicine.
That didn't stop her from giving Jake a wink as she walked by and into the side room where Kris was.
"Jake?" Kristine called after a few moments, hailing Jake into the room they were talking in, she herself had done away with her typical suit dress and coat and was instead wearing black dress pants, a light blue top, and a starch white labcoat. Her hair was also pinned back into a high bun, a couple of metal sticks jammed in it to keep it firmly in place. "Jake, can you come here?"
Once\ifHe'd better Jake approached the three of them, the brown haired woman would introduce them. "Jake, this is Doctor Merium Faustus and her partner, Doctor Joseph Erriks. They're the surgeons that specialize in adult prosthetics, doing upgrades and repairs. They're the best there is, and they have a lot of experience in installing my designs, you're in safe hands, and I'll be right there overseeing everything."
Dr. Faustus stepped up and offered a hand to Jake as Erriks had simply nodded and proceeded in getting the operation table set up. "Don't take Joey's behavior personally, he just doesn't talk a whole lot." She smiled. "Lookit this one, Kris. You certainly know how to find the handsome ones!~"
"Merium!" Kris almost whined, making the older woman chuckle and pat Jake on the arm before following her partner into the other room, leaving the two alone.
"Don't mind Dr. Faustus, she's...an odd bird, but I trust her with my modifications, you're in safe hands." She looked up and met Jake's gaze. "You're not worried, are you?"

Jake looked up, his head snapping as he watched Kristine come in with a bunch of other people. Plus that tray of items. He didn't flinch at it; he'd seen that many times before. Of course, he noticed the older woman, who reminded him of Lila's mother of all things, wink at him. Oh god. Jake just stared at her.
Kristine called him and he walked up to them, his hands in his pockets. Obviously he towered over all of them having the anatomy of a basketball player He was always pretty tall even before the upgrades though.
"Nice to meet you both." Might as well have forced politeness, shaking their hands. "I assure you I used to be much better looking." Eh, some playful words. Jake, you flirt. They left the room and then Kristine asked him. He just gave her this harsh look.
"Worried? I'm terrified, especially since I woke up in a strange environment unable to work my body properly alone. Twice. Just put me under and let's get this over with."

Kris had long since gotten used to Jake's height, though Dr. Faustus wasn't a very tall woman to start with, so next to Jake she could have very well been a pigmy. "He's got some mass to him, dun he?" She laughed as she craned her neck to meet his gaze. "And quite a wit, too! You must have been quite the lady killer! Well, we'll see what we can do here." She grinned again before stepping into the other room.
Kris raised an eyebrow as Jake gave her that look, but once she realized it was just nerves, she smiled softly and moved to stand in front of the man. "There's no reason to be scared, love." She soothed, putting her hands on his chest, one over his heart. "You know I would never let anything happen to the best damn bodyguard I've ever met. What would I do without you?" She smiled, trying to be reassuring. "Come on now, buck on up. You'll be fine."
Given the fact there was a foot and a half distance between the two of them, Kris had to reach up and gently pull Jake down a little so she could kiss him.
A few moments after the start of it, a wolf-whistle from the doorway made Kris pull back suddenly to look, blushing madly. "Don't mind me, sweetie. Take your time." Dr. Faustus laughed. "But when you get a moment, we're ready to get thing ball rolling."

Jake smirked when she spoke up. He wouldn't say he had mass, but he definitely had the height. He looked down at the woman as she spoke up, wondering when was the last time he met such a cheerful person in the work force. Not too often... well, hundred of years ago.
"No problem. I'll be there in a moment."
Either way, they left to get ready and Jake looked down at Kristine as she spoke up. For some reason, her words soothed him. He smiled down at her.
"Thanks, Kristine. I don't know what I'd do without you." He'd lean down to kiss her back, though interrupted by that lady again. Bleh, can't he have a moment to himself with Kristine? ... oh well. Jake nodded and then pulled off his coat, tossing it on a chair. Without his coat, Jake felt kind of nude, despite the fact he wore a jumpsuit and boots underneath.
"Let's get this over with."

One thing that made Dr. Faustus stick out from amongst others in her profession was her cheerfulness and eccentricities. She was one of the absolute best, but her personality made people shy away from her, so her full potential was never used much. Still, now was her time to shine!
She skipped into the other room with a cheery wave and Kris focused on her rather nervous companion. "You'd probably still be on that train, scaring passengers with your unique method of train security." She chuckled, smiling. Their first meeting was an interesting one, to say the least. She still remembered the bloodbath that was that man protecting the train.
She chuckled slightly as Dr. Faustus ducked back into the operating room, and looked back at Jake, pecking him on a stubbled cheek. "You'll be fine." She said again, before stepping into the room and, after Jake was inside, engaging the locks and the sanitation mist. It coated every surface and dried in seconds, killing anything that might harbor germs or bacteria. Once the light turned green, indicating they were in a clean environment, She turned to Jake and gestured for him to lay down on the tableWhich she totally reinforced to resist his weight and to fit his large ass's giantism.
"Okay kiddies, step right up and get ready for the ride!~" Dr. Faustus said, tossing on a surgical mask as Kris put on a surgical bonnet to keep her hair out of the way.
"Could you stop that for just a moment, Faustus?" Kris asked, which was replied with a childish whine from the older woman. Putting a mask over her own face, Kris smiled one more time at Jake and then picked up the mask for the anesthesia. "I'll see you when you wake up, okay sunshine?" She said, pausing for a reply before putting the mask over the man's face.

Jake was terrified. For the first time since waking up the second time, he was absolutely terrified. He thought of himself as completely insane for subjugating to this, but he knew that he had to at least get everything completely fixed on his body. Except his nose scar, at the least. Maybe his chest scar. Dunno what they'd do about that one since they'd have to check his heart.
"Well, I am indeed one of a kind." Jake sat on the table, eyeing everything as if it were about to jump him and attack him, and the Irish descendant, after being properly sanitized... he'd lay down, and just groan when Dr. Faustus spoke up.
"I just want to let you know that-" Forget it, the mask was over his face and he passed out instantly.

Kris knew he was scared, that was why she stood close to him, and just tried to keep him calm.
She accidentally placed the mask over his face before he could finish his reply, though, and she idly thought 'oops' before shrugging. She can ask him what he was going to say when he woke. Getting to work, she allowed Dr. Faustus and Dr. Erriks to begin the operations as she went over the replacement parts one more time, checking them carefully with every possible meter and reader, as well as her own eyes to verify that the parts were not faulty and the absolute best quality possible.
They did all of the limbs first, before double checking the others parts, leaving the most vital part for last. Kris looked at the artificial heart, designed to replace the outmoded model that was now in that man's chest. She promised him that she had never mishandled a heart, and she had no intention of doing so now. Double checking everything, she brought it over to the operating table and, assisting as needed, allowed Dr. Faustus to carefully swap out the parts until the new model was installed.
The entire operation took a few hours, but after several bloody upgrades later, and some aesthetic repairs were completed, the two doctors got Jake closed back up, leaving hardly any scars except for the ones on his face and a large one on his chest that they hadn't been able to completely erase due to it's sheer size and location.
After letting him stay out for an hour or so to make sure nothing went amiss, they disconnected him from life support and, once they were sure nothing was going to go wrong, got him cleaned up and moved to a side room, which looked like a rather homely hospital room.
At this point, it was a matter of waiting for the Irish man to come around. Kris sat in a chair next to the bed, talking with Doctor Faustus.
"Thank you, Merium. I owe you one."
"Don't worry about it, dearest. I'm glad you've finally found someone, especially after what happened with Xe."
"Merium!"
"Sorry. Still, it was my pleasure, and anyway, I owed you one, remember?"
"I suppose. Anyway, thank you, Dr. Faustus. You too, Dr. Erriks."
"No problem."
"We'll leave the pair of you alone for a minute. Holler if you need us. Use protection now!"
"MERIUM!"
A playful cackle was the only audible indicator that the pair of doctors had left the room, closing the door behind them as Kris flopped back in her seat. "That woman..."

The amount of blood that came out of that man probably was three liters more than average. Maybe. It's not possible, though, but it is a funny mental image for the RPer considering he randomly bled out of his joints. That was before the operation, though.
Jake, naturally, didn't feel a thing, so time passed like a split second for him as if he were asleep, however he came about slowly... a little later than normal people. Likely due to his age and the fact he hadn't been gassed in ages.
Cryogenic sleep felt the same way too. Jake would shift, and then mutter something his voice quite slurred.
"-you'd better keep the scar on my fac-huh? Cake?" Jake lifted his head, seeing two Kristines! Twice the fun-oh... it's just his eyesight.
"Hi."

Finally, once Jake came around, Kris would lean forward and put her elbows on the bedside. "Welcome to the world of the living, Jake." She said with a smirk as he woke up. Oh, so that was what he was going to ask. She laughed lightly and, reaching up, ran a finger across the scar. "Don't worry, hun. It's still there. I know you're proud of this one." She smiled at him. "How are you feeling?"
She'd shift the chair to be a little closer to the bedside and she'd idly rung her fingers through some of the longer strands of his hair. "I told you you would be alright, didn't I?" She lightly tugged at a lock of hair. "See, you were worried for nothing. Now be a good boy and stay in this bed until I say you can get out, and I'll bring you a slice of cake later on, kay?"
Yes. She knew how to keep you in that bed, boy.

Jake had to take a few moments to finally realize where he was and what he was doing. Oh right. General anesthesia. Of course he knew he'd be feeling funny for the rest of the day, pain meds maybe included. He leaned back, blankly stared at the wall and then exclaimed.
"... I feel like... like.. this wall is mocking me. I want to punch it." He'd at least make a pleased face that his scar is still there, so he at least understands Kristine.
"... Even without the prospect of cake, I wouldn't be able to move around anyway. I can't feel my everything." He'll pay attention to his limbs soon, don't worry.

It took a very valiant effort on Kristine's part not to bust into gales of laughter at Jake's behavior, but she still couldn't restrain a giggle as he talked about the wall. "I assure you, Jake, that the wall likes life and is not dumb enough to mock you. Here, sip at this." She said, smiling as she gently helped Jake sit up slightly and put a small cup of water up to his lips.
"Well, that just makes my job easier, doesn't it?" She laughed. "Give it a bit, feeling will come back in a bit. You just got an upgrade, so it shouldn't take your body as long to come around to the new parts like it did Alki. So I think right now the problem is with that fuzzy little head of yours." She smiled. "Everything went smoothly, we were able to replace just about everything, and your new parts look more humanoid now, you can't even tell whats fake and what isn't." She knew Jake might like that. HE CAN ROCK THE SPEEDO NOW

Well, he'll stop being funny soon. Jake will leave one last glare at the wall before he realized that Kristine was helping him up. He managed to get himself in a sitting position, testing his arms and legs and just wriggling them. No screaming panic this time. He's with someone... "... Well I can sort of feel them." He was offered a drink, which he'd gladly accept. "Won't take too long." Finally, his eyes would drift towards his arms. Oh holy shit... what happened to his old arms? Jake just blankly stared at them, as if they were foreign objects.
"... Wow. I'm not scarred and fucked up. Well..." Except the one on his face and chest. Another few minutes of Jake trying to get his arms moving would pass, with him just staring at them like a child... It probably was amusing to Kristine.
" I wonder how my legs are." Of course, Jake had no idea his jumpsuit was stripped and he probably was completely nude, which he tore the covers off.
"No scarring here." Yes, he was so loopy he forgot he was completely nude... in front of Kristine.

"That's good, you'll have your full range of movement back in an hour or so, but I want you to stay in bed until tonight at least." She instructed as she helped him get a drink of water. She noticed he was now staring at his arms in awe, and while it was amusing, it was also a little sad. This man had lived for so many years with...well, he didn't now, but still.
Then he mentioned his legs. "Dr. Erriks took care of that phase of the operation, but heee-EEE!" Jake ripping aside the covers made Kris let out a squeak of surprise, covering her eyes as he examined himself shamelessly.
...She couldn't help herself, and carefully separated a couple of her fingers to take a peek. Naughty.

"Alright, but first thing I'm testing is if I can still flip the bolted table..."
Nice, Jake grinned at that thought. Yes, being able to move around with these awesome new limbs and it feels like his heart's been improved as well. That felt nice. For now, he'd just keep on observing. Hopefully since his improvements were... well, improvements, his strength was still kept.
"Huh? ... Oh." No flush of embarrassment, no cringing, Jake just covered himself once he realized that Kristine was right there. ... He can pose nude in front of a mirror later.
"I'm covered now." Either he'll laugh it off later or groan in embarrassment.
