Location: Forest & Mountain PassJanuary 23rd, Noon. Aeolus and Hedgeshock Mountain Pass
Brrrrr! It was cold. Oh yes it was! So very, very, very cold. Hedgeshock was not used to such weather. No she was not! Then again, she had never traveled beyond the Lab or outside of Legion HQ before Albert took her away! Even so it shouldn't be this cold. That was just plain unfair! D: But she was a tough little girl and would brave the weather with her plug hands held high! ....well, if she could raise her limbs that high. Shewasworkingonthat! Shh!
So there she was, her little mechanical footfalls trudging along the ground. Snow had fallen recently, and on her no doubt as she shuffled through it. At least it wasn't deep enough to bury her-- yet. It was working on it though. Why did all the small guys have disadvantages, huh, huh!? D<<
"I haven't seen anyone since I left the lab..." She whined, her voice holding a rigid quality to it as she bore through the cold. She didn't want to waste energy by heating herself up... besides it just got cold again so fast! >< What was wrong with this place!? It was filled with yucky, icky, sticky snow with trees that liked to drop piles of it on top of her! Don'taskhowthathappened. It did. Yet... what was this? A path? Her cyan eyes lit up and for a moment she thought she was home free as she shuffle ran towards it... that was until she stepped into a bigger pile of snow and sank right into it.
"Hey, hey! Snow that's not nice! No sir-ree!" She cried, flailing her little plug arms about before wiggling out of it. "No fair.. no fair.." She whimpered, shaking herself off before catching sight of something else not far off... smoke? "A fire...? A home with a fire? A camp fire?" She was so curious! And just like that her woes were forgotten and off she went to investigate!

Another uneventful day and, although peaceful, it only served to irk him more. How long has it been? A year? Almost a year? That long a time and nothing's been going on. How long would he have to wait?
He was told to lay low for the moment and avoid getting too much attention. Sure, he could do that, if he gets updated every now and then! Lately, it felt like he was being forgotten. He'd go to Legion HQ, but he couldn't go inside without rising suspicions.
So now here he was, in the mountains; he wasn't even sure where he was going! He'd thought maybe he could investigate the emergence of these so-called 'new Biometals'...That has to be the most absurd rumor he'd ever heard! How could there be more?
Aeolus tossed another stick into the little campfire he'd made, waiting for the water to boil. What a time for the snow to fall...
...What was that noise? Aeolus quickly got up to his feet, grabbing his sword from the ground and readied himself in case it was a Maverick. "Who's there?!"

“…!!!!” Oh no, oh no, oh no! It looked as if someone was there already and they were demanding and snappy and—hey! Hold on a sec! She recognized that voice anywhere! She had frozen in place up until now, her wide little aqua eyes set on the smoke that she was following when it all settled in. Without thought for how crude Aeolus was she tromped on forwards, her optics having closed in sheer content as she made a b-line right for him.
There was no stopping her when her mind was made up, even if she about stumbled and fell right on her belly. Soon she broke the tree line and in all her excitement and loneliness she forgot just how dangerous Aeolus could be!
“Hey, hey! It’s you. Mister Aeolus~.” She sang out, it almost seeming as if she were going to run right up to him to hug him; however, she came to stop a few feet from him, her little tail thumping behind her to share the excitement she felt welled up inside her core. It had been so long, so long since she had gotten to see or talk to anyone she knew and felt she could approach. Yes it had, yes it had!

Aeolus kept his hand on his sword, ready in case it was a hostile being. And if it gets hard on him, Model H was within reach, safely tucked within the folds of his coat. Now, let the enemies come...!
...Except, the expected group of enemies didn't show up. Instead, a little brown...animal-like...familiar...Pseudoroid?! Aeolus's eyes widened at what he saw.
Oh, no...Not her!
Hedgeshock appeared into full view, stumbling and falling flat on her belly. Aeolus watched, not exactly sure what to say or do. It was the first time he'd seen one of the Pseudoroids...He'd never thought he'd see one again actually! Weren't they supposed to have been...perished?
But there she was, alive and well...and still being her obnoxiously silly self. Hedgeshock got back up to her feet and had approached him, greeting him in that singsong voice. Aeolus almost stepped back, thinking that Hedgeshock would actually hug him.
Well, she didn't and she looked happy, but that wasn't reason enough for Aeolus to drop his guard. "...You...You're still alive?"

Oh yes, it was her! She was very much alive and well and so was he! She had never verbally spoken to him before, rather, she had heard him talking to others in the past. Unable to leave the lab was quite troublesome and the only means of seeing any of the outside world had been on display cameras and hearing tales in passing. It was nothing like what she had imagined and it showed in how foreign everything was to her.
"Yes siree I sure am! I am!" He said to him as she rose up onto her haunches and beamed up at him with a flush to her metal muzzle. She was thinking about hugging him, but he looked so tense and as if something were up with him.
"What's-a-matter Mister Aeolus?" She found her head tilting to the side, her tail still swishing to and fro through it all. "You look as if you've seen a ghost--!" She froze, 'brrrring' before she looked this way and that, trying to see what was throwing him into a defensive stance. She had no clue it was her.. at least not yet. "Hey, hey! It'll be ok!" She assured him quickly, her eyes smiling where her mouth could not.

Aeolus tried to remember anything about this Pseudoroid. Unfortunately, they haven't gotten the chance to talk, not that he wanted to. Why would he? There no reason for it. He was a Megaman; she...'She' seemed to be correct...was a Pseudoroid. That alone answered the question. Would he be concerned? That's a big 'IF'.
Hedgeshock confirmed that she was very much alive and well. Good for her? If he'd known that she was actually thinking of hugging him, she'd have one thing coming. Aeolus loves his personal space. A lot.
"Nothing." Aeolus replied to her question, getting back up to his feet and dusted the snow off his coat, his cloak covering his form again as he stood. He still kept his sword on hand though. He couldn't trust the little Pseudoroid just yet.
Aeolus then returned to his spot around the campfire, and the now-boiling pot of water. Time to put the tea leaves in and let them brew! Of course, he's not about to extend an invitation to the poor Hedgeshock, who was shivering in the cold. She can try to approach him though.

"Hey, hey! This doesn't look like 'nothing' to me~." She sang out, not picking up that he adored his personal space as she followed him right back over to his little camp fire.
Ohhhh, what was that and that and-- she registered the fire, its warmth, the boiling pot of water she was currently trying to peer over at. She was all in that camp fire's business, completely ignoring him as she investigated it.
It seemed as if she was going to keep this up before she just 'brrred' and plopped right down by the fire. She was assuming everything was ok and that Aeolus wouldn't mind her relaxing nearby. Oh how wrong she probably was.
"I'm so glad I ran into you, yes siree. I was getting lonely and even scared--" He turned to peer at him from over the top of the hot pot. "--Whatcha doin out here?" She was curious but there was also a nervousness in her voice. She was praying that Aeolus wouldn't mention Master Albert. He couldn't be alive still! He just couldn't! She didn't wanna go back to the lab... she didn't wanna be alone again!

Of course it didn't look like 'nothing'; it wasn't really a 'nothing'. Aeolus was bothered by Hedgeshock's sudden reappearance, but he was unsure of how exactly to react to her presence. "I told you, it's nothing, you noisy little thing." he replied rather coldly to her. Her voice was really starting to annoy him.
Damn, she followed him. Aeolus watched her from out of the corner of his eye to see if she'd come too close. He'd be shoving her away if she did.
Right now, though, she was fixated on the campfire. Should he try and push her into the flames, just so she'd stop snooping around?
Aeolus didn't need to think about it further when Hedgeshock finally sat down in front of the fire. Well, so long as she keeps her mouth shut and leaves him alone...
The tea was finally ready; Aeolus made to pour the hot tea into a cup when Hedgeshock spoke again. It startled him a bit, which almost made him spill his tea...
What was he doing here? Aeolus was already glaring daggers at her for almost making him spill his tea. Wasn't it obvious? "What does it look like to you, you noisy little thing?" was his reply. "What are YOU doing here?"

Noisy little thing! Noisy little thing! Yes, she was because she was so glad she had found company after all the time alone! Yes she was. She found a new buddy and he would be the best buddy ever! In her head this was totally how it was going to happen, so while she sat there with her tail swaying to and fro and her plug hands warming by the fire she was pulled from her merry little thoughts the moment Aeolus asked her what she was doing there.
"Warming my hands! It's so chilly, yes it is, yes it is! Brrrr..." Her frame rattled with a chill as if to display her true discomfort but that left her to watch him over the brim of that pot. This was one of the ones who had played the game... had he won? Had he lost? Was he bitter because he lost? Did he have a secret agenda to win, win, win? Was he a sore loser? Did she wanna hang out with a loser? Why was she so sure he was a loser? Hmmm, was he cold too? Did he need comforting for losing? What was he doing? What was he drinking? It smelled good!
"Hey, hey! Can I have some?" She blurted, it being the one question that zipped about in her mind the loudest. She would pat him on the back and give him a better luck next time loser pat later!

If only Aeolus could read what's going on inside Hedgeshock's head, he'd be denouncing her in a second before deciding to just kill her. There was no way he'd be her buddy! She was a Pseudoroid; he never considered them his equals. No one was good enough for someone such as him!
But he couldn't, so Hedgeshock's still safe. How did he end up having an uninvited guest anyway, Aeolus wondered, frowning as he could still see her helping herself to the warmth of the campfire. It was a little hard to ignore.
Well, duh. She was doing exactly that; warming her hands. Aeolus fought the urge to smack his hand to his face. She was trying his patience, yes she was.
Aeolus was just about to take a sip of his tea when she...that damn Pseudoroid...asked him if she could have some of it too. The nerve of that...!
"No." came his simple reply before he sipped his tea.

Hedgeshock remained oblivious to the situation and merely kept herself content before the fire. She was just satisfied she was around someone that knew a little bit about her and would stay around for a little while. Or so she hoped. Aeolus couldn't be that bad of a guy, could he? Oh, if only she knew the half of it. She was bound to be left in tears by the time their meeting was over with because, in short, he was a snooty jerk. She would never believe that though until it happened and even then she was sure there was some form of good in the mint haired jerk.
She remained oblivious to how she was invading his camp, thinking she was welcome as she pulled her plug hands away and settled them to either side of her before lifting her muzzle to peer at Aeolus with the most joyous of gazes. He really had no clue how much his presence had just made her day. Anyone would have done, but he was the first person here and that was that!
"Awww, but I've never had any. No I haven't, no I haven't..." She sulked a little when he said no, but instead of begging for it she merely shifted about to curl up by that fire, her form condensing as she burrowed up in the snow and started to settle. In her world, she was safe and had someone that would look after her for a few hours. So maybe she could rest... maybe she could just get warm for a little while longer...
"Hey, hey Mister Aeolus! I just wanted to say thank you, I did, I did!" She chirped, her voice still projected easily despite being muffled by her arm. "Maybe I can help too! Whatcha doing all the way out here anyway?" She asked, her tail pressing into her hind leg and side. Oh she was situated now. Not going anywhere. Nope!

No matter how hard he tried to ignore her existence, Aeolus just couldn't do exactly that; not when she was right in front of him. How ever did he end up being found by her? Was it because she was a Pseudoroid? No, wait...What did her being one have anything to do with this situation? One thing for sure, it was her fault why he's now stuck with her!
...At least she's quiet. Aeolus could ignore her...
Of course, he just had to keep his hopes up...
Aeolus glared at Hedgeshock when she said that she'd never had tea yet. The nerve of this Pseudoroid and she had the guts to sulk at him! Hey, it was his tea! If she wanted some, she'd have to get her own.
At least she didn't pursue the subject and instead went to curl up by the fire. If he were any nicer, he might find the scene adorable.
But he's not, his glare threw daggers at Hedgeshock. He'd already had half the mind to tell her to get lost, but if he remembered right, she was with Albert back then. Maybe keeping her around might give him some information. But first, he'd have to be sure.
...Now what is she babbling about? 'Thank you'? For what? Aeolus raised an eyebrow when Hedgeshock gave him her thanks. But she finally said something that was worth his attention. Maybe he could humor her for now.
"Hmph, I was just passing by." came Aeolus' short answer. She didn't have to know that he was wandering at the moment. "What about you; what are YOU doing out here? And don't you dare tell me that you're warming yourself by the fire!"

“I’m going home! I am, I am!” She chirped up at him, her little tail wagging by her side as she remained curled up by the warmth the fire provided. She enjoyed it very much and wanted it to last a lot longer than the embers could burn for. Just when she was about to settle back down, Aeolus spoke up and for once her eyes lit up at the sudden attention. She was thankful he was talking to her and now she pushed herself up with her plug hands to peek over the pot at him. It was always polite to do that, it was it was! She was about to say just that when Aeolus defined exactly what he meant.
“B-but it’s true… awwwww…. Other than sittin by the fire enjoying being around you I’m gonna go home and find out everything! Yes siree!” She said firmly with a nod. She wanted to find out about herself and everyone else. Most of all… she wanted to find out what happened to Albert.

'Home'? Aeolus looked at Hedgeshock, pausing from his tea, wondering what she meant by that. Pseudoroids can't have homes, can they? He twitched when she looked at him with such a bright look. Now why would she look at him like that? This Pseudoroid's getting so annoying...
She mentioned 'home' again. Aeolus rubbed his temples, muttering about stupid little rats, when he finally decided to talk to her. Really talk to her.
"...You keep mentioning 'home'. Where would that be?" he asked, Hedgeshock managing to raise Aeolus' curiosity. Still, he's not about to offer her some tea yet. She'd have to do more for a cup of tea.
