(OOC: Caden only. If ya wanna hop in ask for permission first)
March 7th, 25XX
Now it seemed like a rather quiet night for most of Innerpeace/Cinq Ville. Seemed. Past few nights it hadn't. Kai had spent a lot of time in this area the past few nights taking care of a number of robberies and assaults in the area. Or rather, "Proto Man" had. A few were Maverick Related, and a few were just standard thugs.
This was the one night so far where things seemed. . . peaceful to say the least. Still, never hurts to double check and make sure of it.
It was getting around the time most of the crimes had taken place. So far nothing had happened. . . yet.
Kai hadn't brought his overcoat or sunglasses with him tonight. Weather was somewhat warming up recently. He wasn't Proto Merged either. He just continued to survey the area from the rooftop of one building, goggles resting on the top of his head, his asp hanging from his belt, and holding his jet rocket board with one arm over his shoulder. A humanoid over a rooftop at night with a flying board wasn't nearly as suspicious as an armored figure now was he?

The hunt for the mysterious "Unknown" was going well. Between him and Valarie, they were now able to put a face to the man, though they still knew very little about him. Like his name, whether he was a Biomatch or just a combat Reploid, or what. As of right now, Caden was on the rooftops himself, thinking a bit. This was probably a lot like the spywork that his adopted father had done, and his big brother as well.
A slight movement to the left caught his eye, and there was a flicker of something fluttering. A scarf, eh? Mr. "Unknown" had been found to wear a scarf. Maybe it was time to check this person out, and maybe take a bit of a more direct approach. He stepped forward, and gave a bit of a smile.
"Fancy seeing someone else up on the rooftops this late."

Kai thought for a moment he heard something behind him. Was it the sound of footsteps perhaps?
A voice spoke up, and Kai slowly turned to look at the new arrival. Blond haired looking guy. Not too bad looking, he had to admit. Somewhat of a youthful looking face, though clearly this guy is an adult.
"Same here," he replied to the stranger. Just from the stranger's tone, he didn't seem hostile. As a result Kai seemed to be in a somewhat amicable mood just from the small grin he had on his face and the tone of his voice. "Especially here. This area has been kinda dangerous the past few nights, ya know?"

Caden himself was not dressed in his battle armor, though it was quite obvious that he was a Reploid from the triangle on his head. Instead, he was dressed in the uniform of a typical Legion employee, perhaps even a bit rich-looking.
"I've heard, and seen a few things. Has some people at work in a tizzy, especially the Maverick-related ones." He gave a bit of a grin. "Guessing not too many come up here, do they?"

"I guess not," Kai admitted with a shrug as he looked down the side of the building and then back up to the reploid. Unfortunately it would be hard for anyone to see whether Kai himself was humanoid or reploid as his hair kinda completely covered his forehead. Not like that really mattered in this day and age.
"Then again, I'm not like most people. I'm only up here to take a break from flying," he said as he moved his board from behind his back and sat it down in front of him, having it stand up on its wings and thrusters. He patted the top of the board before resting his hand on the tip.
"What about you?"

Well, either way, it didn't look like too many people came up here. A nice, private little spot. Caden relaxed a bit, leaning against a wall and picking at the sleeves of his Legion uniform. Man, if this was what growing up was like, he would have liked to stay a young kid forever, while getting spoiled by his brother, half-sister, and his adopted parents and their family...
"Oh, you fly now, on that thing? Looks cool. Where'd you get something like that, anyways? Custom-job?" Caden was genuinely curious about the origins of that board. It looked like it would be fun to fly on! He could go ask his Papa if he could get him one- wait. Papa wasn't here.
"Getting away from the streets down there. I'll head home after awhile, but right now, I just want some fresh air."

"Yeah it sorta is," Kai responded. "Mine's from a company called 'Prototypes'. It's a special modified T-16 model of theirs. Don't let its size fool you. This thing is actually a lot faster and tougher than the boards you see flying around Legion HQ, or the ones you see the Galleon robots use."
If Caden ever heard of the company's name before, or knew anything of their background, he'd know it started out as a cybernetics and robotics company before the company started growing and making other kinds of products.
Yet one unique thing in particular about Kai's board would be the aesthetic appearance. It had the same kind of unique design that Proto Man's legendary Proto Shield had. Seriously, that mysterious Robot Master's shield design seemed to be used for any other piece of hardware that robot master used. Like his Proto Jet and Proto Coil. Or more popularly known, Proto Man's legendary Battle and Chase racer, The Red Striker.
"Probably safer to be up here rather than down here," Kai admitted. "Plus fresh air never kills anyone. I kinda like camping outdoors when I travel to a new city if I can help it. Plus it's a good way to stay in shape too."
He gave a small laugh at that.

"Oh, Prototypes, eh? I've heard of them; actually thought about working there myself at some point, but... well, that didn't happen."
It was a half-truth. Caden had wanted to work at that company at some point, but he'd eventually decided that he should stay at Legion. They had fixed him up, after all. The design on that shield was bugging him, like he'd seen it before, but he chalked it up to coincidence. For now, at the least.
"Mm... I don't feel so cooped up out here in the fresh air. Oh, you're not from around here? Wouldn't have guessed." Caden grinned a bit. As small as that piece of information was, it was information, nonetheless.

Kai gave a somewhat confused look at Caden when he mentioned that. "Oh, really? I know a few people there, so if you are still interested, I could put in a good word for you if you wanted."
The guy didn't seem too bad in truth. Plus he didn't look like a company spy of some sort.
. . . Of course, that doesn't mean that he couldn't be.
"You aren't the first to say so," Kai began. "I'm surprised no one has guessed I was from out of town, let alone another country. Guess I seem too common huh?"
He adjusted his goggles on the top of his head as he said that. Ordinary? Hardly. His hair and eye color didn't even look remotely ordinary for a humanoid or reploid.

Caden perked up a bit. "Oh, really? That'd be cool, actually." Just in case this thing with Legion didn't work out so well, it was always nice to have some options. He poked at his sleeves again. Man, these outfits were so uncomfortable, but it was what he had to wear when he was out in public.
"Really? Where're you from, anywhere I've heard of?" Caden laughed at that. "And Asimov, with the number of crazy people I know, you're quite common, buddy, no offense."

"Alright. I'll probably need a name and a resume if ya got one, then we'll see where that goes from there," he replied.
"Oh, I'm from the same place Prototypes is originally from believe it or not," Kai responded. AKA, one of the countries north of Legion. "I like traveling a lot. It's fun to see the world."
Kai smiled at that compliment. "Well it's good to know at least one person thinks I'm normal."
Then he blinked for a moment. ". . . Hey uh. . . if you don't mind me asking. . . who or what is Asimov?"
Pm let out a very loud and audible groan. He had originally gotten very tired of hearing Robot Masters use that term back in his time for the purposes they did use it. He was more or less glad he never heard that name used for such terminology in this time. . . and now Caden just ruined and dashed one of the last few joys Pm had in his life.
. . . Wait. How the Hell did this guy know that term?! If the scientists that worked on him never used or heard such a term, how does this guy know it?!

Caden snapped his fingers. Ah, he definitely knew that place! He dropped by there once or twice before he had had his time eaten by his General position. Nice place, really cool. The sort of place that he would have loved to work at.
"Don't exactly have a resume on me, though... Caden's my name. Caden Foxx. And if I'm telling you my name, can I at least know yours?" It wasn't as if anyone would recognize the name, would they? He had never really been around in the public eye, either.
"Heh," Caden grinned when Kai told him he was happy that someone considered him normal. His grin fell when Kai asked him that next question about who Asimov was. Klack.
"Eh... just some guy. No one important. You've probably never heard of him, anyways..." He shrugged, trying to make it as if he was unimportant. Most people never asked him, but that was what he told those that did ask him about Asimov.

"I don't mind. Name's Kai," he replied to Caden.
"He's lying. He wouldn't use the name 'Asimov' like that without good reason," Pm said in a stern voice. "That last name is bothering me."
Kai took note of his biometal's opinion and pulled out a small notepad and a pen. "Surely he must've been someone important. I'm kinda curious."
He then handed the notepad and pencil to Caden. "Do you mind writing your name down and a way to contact you? Just so I can give my friends something to use rather than. . . well you know, asking me to go find you and all, haha. Without a resume it would be kinda important if they had a chance to talk with ya instead."

"Just Kai? No last name or anything?"
The question wasn't suspicious, and it was said in a bit of a joking tone. Caden had told him his last name, after all. He stretched a bit, unable to hear what Pm said, and shrugged as Caden mentioned that Asimov was someone important.
"Eh, maybe. Hm?" He blinked at the pad of paper and pencil, and took it from Kai, scribbling down "Caden Foxx" and his private comm number. If push came to shove, he could always change his comm number, and anyone looking him up would find that he was just what he looked like - a fairly recent Legion employee. "Ah, I do have a resume, I just don't quite have it on me at the moment."

"Afraid so. Even I don't know it, hahaha," Kai said in a joking tone. "I'm just a homeless orphan."
Well he wasn't going to enlighten him on who Asimov was huh? No need to press on that point right now.
"Well, if you want we can meet back here in a couple of days or sometime in the morning if you want to give me a Soft Copy of your resume to email them," Kai suggested as he took his pencil and pad back. He looked down and examined the spelling of the name, before returning the pencil and pad to his pocket.
. . . Namely the pocket Pm was in.
"I've seen this name. . . somewhere before," he began. Pm managed to get a glance at Caden's face when Kai was returning his pencil and pad into his pocket.
. . . That face.
. . .
That face did not sit right with Pm at all. Something was bothering him. Instinct maybe? Didn't matter. Point is he's suspicious now. And when Pm's suspicious. . .
Well, he isn't going to let this matter rest.
