[DATE: March 30] [TIME: During Round 1] [PEOPLE: Kristine and Uriah] [LOCATION: Tournament Grounds]
Uriah made his way to the lobby viewing room and looked up to the monitor. Looked like, along with some of the other matches, Leon's and Jake's was starting. It was strange, really. Here Uriah was, watching a fight involving the man who almost killed him, and actually succeeded in killing his creator...and...he didn't want him to lose. He didn't want Jake to lose, either, but that wasn't the point. Why didn't he want Leon to lose? Was it out of fear that Jake would take things to far and end Leon before he had the chance to do it himself? Or was there something else... Uriah looked over at the girl who had accompanied him to the viewing room, Alexandria, and sighed. Maybe it was something to do with her. He was aware that Alex had, at one point, had feelings for Leon. He wondered if she still did, but he never had gotten around to asking her. Maybe after all this was over, he would. He wondered if Kristine was going to show up to watch the match. He figured he would, if not to see Jake win, to see Leon suffer. At least that's what he thought.

Kristine was in fact there, and was in fact watching the match. "It's a crying shame this is a no fatalities tournament." She said dryly, standing by the monitor with her arms crossed. "I'd love to see Jake take Leon's head off."
She looked sourly at the screen as Leon threw a myriad of missiles at Jake, and smiled darkly as Jake easily did away with them. Hah! That was her bodyguard out there, people!

"...you know full well that fatalities would be an issue. After all, we were one of the companies they approached to help sponsor this event. I'm sure they knew it would be harder to find sponsors if death was allowed.
Uriah turned to face Kristine, he had noticed that Alexandria seemed to have run off at this point. Perhaps the thought that, somehow, Leon would still end up hurt was to much for her, he wasn't all to sure; he was sure she had looked a little pale, however, before the match started. Conflicting emotions, maybe?
He shrugged and turned back to the screen to watch as both Leon and Jake now managed to have sword weaponry out...he couldn't help but think of his own sabre.
Wonder if Kristine will notice that's my sabre, there. Chances are she will, though I suppose I could always pass it off as having been taken whenever we first fought those years ago...Yeah, that might work.
Uriah couldn't help but finding himself with his arms crossed again as he watched the screen. "No offense, but your 'bodyguard' might have a run for his money. Leon's pretty good at reading people's actions, at least in battle; hell, he'd have to be in order to survive the myriad of attacks that Xe put on his military, and himself. Even with the Model C, it's a wonder he survived.
Uriah left out the fact that during the end of the struggle, that Leon had to use the power of the Dark Server Fragments he had obtained throughout his battles in order to best him and, later on, Xe.

"Yes yes yes." Kris said, waving her hand as if that could magically dispel the topic. "I am quite aware. Though if I was told that I would see Leon splattered across the arena like a well made pate', I would have gladly agreed to sponsor even if death was allowed." Her expression was hard. There was no love lost between her and Leon.
Kris had also noticed that Alex had run off. While she did worry over the girl like any normal parent(or in this case guardian) would, she wasn't overly concerned. The security of the place would keep her in line, and she could always pass blame to Uriah, who was supposed to protect her.
Kris continued to watch, a dark smile on her face as she observed Jake in action. Lucky for Uriah, Kris was too focused on Jake's totally hot bod combat style and the match itself to notice such a detail such as the saber Leon was using.
As Leon gave his observation on Jake's chances, Kris glanced over to Leon with her patented look of 'Do you really want to keep talking?' "Jake will not lose." She said, matter-of-factly. That was all she had to say on the matter.

Uriah frowned, but kept it to himself. Kristine was right, Leon didn't have much going for him in this fight.
Uriah remembered the warning that he had given Leon. If only he had been able to supply him with a picture of what Jake had looked like. Maybe then Leon would stop this nonsense and step down.
Perhaps it was the bit of Fefnir in his design, but Uriah couldn't stand the thought of anyone else taking down Leon other than himself at this point. I'd have to talk to Alexandria about that, later, it didn't seem like something that she'd like to hear, honestly.
"I think it's slightly unfair that you're having Jake fight your battle for you...just throwing that out there.

"Contrary to what you might think. I allowed Jake to join because, being Jake's employer and private sponsor, it would allow me more access to the other contestants, most of whom are biometals. This is a goldmine of information that will aid in my research."
She paused and a dark malice filled smile breached her features. "The fact that Jake gets to pound Leon is only a very appreciated bonus. I had no way of knowing he joined or that He would be Jake's first opponent."

Uriah nodded but kept silent.
True, it was random luck that Leon had just so happened to end up against Jake in the first round, but still. She could still have some honor and take it up with Leon herself if she wanted him dead...
...maybe honor wasn't the correct word. He frowned again as he stood there, so deep in thought that he drifted away from the fight in front of him.
If honor wasn't the word he was looking for, what was it? Pride? No...Respect? Not unless it was respecting everyone's life as equal...
...it was times like this that being a combat model stunk. His ability to process emotions was still present, it just lacked a complete definition for every one. As is, Alexandria had to update his systems a bit to understand more complex emotions. To think that sorrow, what seemed like a simple emotion now, used to be out of his grasp. The same for joy and happiness.
Something brought Uriah back to his senses. He wasn't sure what, he turned back to the fight to see if it was that. Nope. The two were still going at it.
He checked to see if Alexandria had returned, or if Kristine had said something. Nope. Alex wasn't in sight and it appeared to him that Kristine hadn't taken her eyes of the screen in a while.
He decided on releasing a soft grunt and crossing his arms as he refocused on the fight.
"One of these days I should have at him." he said, not really caring if Kristine heard or not.

'Honor' was one of the various things Kristine did not bother with. While she attempted to steer towards the more ethical routes, she always did was was in her and those she cared about's best interests. Despite that, she herself wouldn't last a second against Leon. No, she'd have to send someone else after him, as much as she'd love to plunge a knife into his throat.
She was prideful, yes. But there was more to it than that. Despite being told that Xe was apparently some power hungry madman, she couldn't help but still feel the sharp pang of sorrow at his demise. And knowing who did it...? To answer Uriah's question, it was her burning desire to see Leon dead that drove her to this.
As Uriah went quiet, she focused back on the match. Thaddaboy, Jake. When her viewing companion made his comment, she smiled darkly once more. "If Jake doesn't finish the job, you can."

Uriah couldn't help but chuckle. He figured Leon would find some way to survive from this. He wasn't sure how, or if he'd manage to come out on top, but he was pretty sure Leon would survive. You could call it breaking the 4th wall, I suppose, but details.
"I actually meant Jake, Kristine, not Leon. I've already faced him multiple times. He said this as he turned to face her, not really expecting her to turn her attention from the fight...it did seem to be heating up a bit after all.
"Who knows, he could be a rather useful sparing partner since I've yet to find anyone who can keep up with me, and Alexandria refuses to create another reploid of my stature, with good reason, I suppose, to train with."

Kris looked a little off put. "Alex is not the only one with the capability to build a reploid, Uriah." She almost snapped, as if insulted. "And I apologize, you were unclear as to who you were addressing. I mean no offense, Uriah, but I do believe Jake will be able to defeat you easily. It is simply because this match does not condone lethal force that Jake has not won yet." She paused. "On my way back, shortly before I reactivated you, Jake and I met on a train, and shortly after that train was attacked by bandits. He single-handedly wiped out the lot of them, and while it was a rather gory scene to behold, he only took one hit of damage." She smiled proudly. "Our second encounter was similar to the first, and I saw him barrel through the defenses of one of the best trained guard teams ever to grace inner peace as if he was knocking down a castle of toothpicks. And he is human."

Uriah blinked as Kristine unloaded a wall rather long speech at him. Normally he'd argue but he figured he'd let Kristine have the argument for the moment. He wasn't feeling up to arguing.
...Almost, anyway.
"I'm sorry you feel that way, Kristine. Maybe whenever you're done being blinded by your emotions you'll realize you've yet to see me in combat and the only measure of my strength you have is the battle that comes up now and then involving Leon and I. Unfortunately for Leon, he's not as strong as he was whenever we faced our final time; I assure you, however, that Leon was on a completely different level because in one's own story the power levels (WHICH ARE OVER 9000!!!!!) can be exaggerated extremely and whatnot whenever Canon's aren't involved than he is now.
With that, he smiled and turned spawning a Tenzin cape which he then spun around as he exited and used the power of Airbending to produce a sharp wind effect like Tenzin does whenever he's annoyed and leaving and left.
The fourth wall is suffering.

Kristine remained silent and poker face as Uriah stalked off, though on the inside she was seething. How DARE Uriah show her such disrespect! Rper inches away from hypocritical muse before she sics Jake on her Why couldn't he just shut up and not argue?! Why the hell did she keep him around?
...
She sighed and dropped her arms from their crossed position and rested her hands on her hips. She knew why. It was the same reason she was so adamant on hiring Jake. Neither of them were intimidated by her. They didn't flinch when she said their names or cowtow to her every whim. They did what they needed to when it counted, but they weren't mindless little bugs that ran around in fear, like a certain driver of hers.
She kept them around because she liked having people she could look at with some semblance of respect, and while Uriah infuriated her, he was one of them.
